I’ve lately mentioned the Social Media Expedition and have been working with a couple of trusted advisers to refine the concept, and I’m close enough to post this for additional thoughts you may have. That being, the focus of the Social Media discussion of late has been business development focused from a practitioner’s stance. However, social media can be leveraged in the rest of our existence as well:
- Family / Relatives (nuclear and extended)
- Friends
- Community (neighbors)
- Consumers (Business)
- Faith (Religious Institutions)
- Citizens (Government)
- Students (Educational Institutions)
(intrinsic – gooey middle)
Additionally, there is the expansive psychology around social networking that needs to be part of the conversation as well. How, as human beings, we relate, adopt, deny this media is additionally critical.
In creating the Social Media Expedition, we should continue to have these popular business-related discussions AND also expand the conversation internally as beings, and externally beyond business.
I welcome all thoughts on this and we’re refining daily.
